Change in the management

Dear friends of the bioRe® Foundation,

after 4 years of project management and 10 years as Managing Director of the bioRe® Foundation, Christa Suter has decided to take on a new challenge and thus move on.
With her strong commitment, Christa Suter has made a great contribution to the establishment and successful development of the Foundation. She has put her heart and soul into identifying with the needs of farming families in India and Tanzania and has built effective projects with them to improve their livelihoods. By promoting organic farming, she has been able to support the development of a fair society and promote biodiversity in the regions.

I thank Christa for the good cooperation and I wish her the very best for the future on her way.

We have succeeded in recruiting an experienced successor in Monika Tobler. She will start with us at the beginning of May. After her studies in biology, Monika Tobler worked for more than 15 years in development cooperation and the last few years in environmental protection for the Global South, at Helvetas, FAO, Eawag and WWF Switzerland.

Training smallholder families in the sustainable cultivation of cotton was just as much a part of her responsibility as projects in the areas of drinking water supply, cultivation of organic products, improved market access or resource-saving textile processing.

I wish Monika Tobler a good start with us at the bioRe® Foundation and look forward to her great support in improving people’s livelihoods and promoting biodiversity in our areas in India and Tanzania.

Kind regards
Jürg Peritz, President of the bioRe® Foundation
